Al Prosser's Communications Enablement Page
I am currently providing links to places of interest to people interested in finding out about challenges to personal communication. I do not get to check these too often, and the opinions expressed on these sites are their responsibility. I have found the information interesting st one time or another.
Asperger Info: On-Line AS Info & Support has information helpful for other PDD and Autism Spectrum challenges and dealing with care providers and school districts.
There is a good but maybe dated paper titled "PERVASIVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS" by Luke Y. Tsai, M.D. published by the National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) describing 5 types of PDD including PDD/NOS. http://www.nichcy.org/pubs/factshe/fs20txt.htm
There are some interesting developments in the field published at Neuro Immune Dysfunction Syndromes www.nids.net
The Autism Society of America Home Page Their description of "What is Autism?" can be found there.
To find out about making computers accessible to people with special needs, check out CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology) at http://www.cast.org/.
